Weekend in the Chi

I'm trying to take advantage of all that Chicago has to offer during this nice weather, and before we leave for our summer trip to Montana/Utah.  So here is Noah on the Thomas train at Navy Pier.  Check out that huge yacht.  I love the boats around this city, they are pretty amazing.

A few pictures from the huge ferris wheel at Navy Pier.   A view of the city from both both angles.  Oprah says it's the best city in the US, and I think I will agree, until winter comes, of course.
Grant and I did a 9 mile run yesterday morning along Lake Shore Drive yesterday (you can see in the pictures, it's the road that runs parallel along the lake).  It was so beautiful.  Towards the end of the run, I thought I was talking to Grant next to me and I look over and it's a stranger...Grant was behind a little ways and I was cracking up.  I had to tell him to meet me at our finish spot as I left him in my dust.  He is a little sore today.  :)
We also hit the farmer's market yesterday by the zoo.  I was a little dissappointed with the market yesterday, maybe because we got there close to closing time, but this guy was blowing crazy huge bubbles and Noah was in heaven chasing them around.  Grant says it was the best moment of Noah's life.
Noah has mastered the bike on training wheels.  He cruises around our living room/kitchen on days when it's too chilly or too hot (or when I'm too lazy to take him down the street).
Noah rode his bike down the street to our neighborhood park that has a great little free community pool.  The water was a little too chilly to stay for too long though!
I love summer!  I was telling Noah my love for flip flops the other day, and he told me they are his favorite shoes too.  Why?  Because it means it's summer!  :)
