I figured I better post these now before the new baby gets here in a few days. This is the first year we have spent Christmas by ourselves, with our own little family. Yesterday on Christmas Eve we went to the aquarium and saw their cute Christmas performance. We then went to dinner at the Walnut Room at Macy's where they have a two and a half story Christmas tree up. It was really great food, and great ambiance. Then we went home and showed Noah the Luke 2 movie and talked about baby Jesus. After Noah went to bed, Grant and I played Santa and got the gifts set up and watched a movie. It was a nice, snowy, Christmas Eve.
Noah scanning the gifts that Santa brought and checking out the cookie crumbs left behind.

Noah's big gifts this year were a basketball hoop, a big guitar, art easel, and his own table and chairs...along with some other little toys, games, etc. He was much more excited about Christmas this year, and excited that Santa came to our house.

Winter Wonderfest
Tonight we hit Navy Pier's "Winter Wonderland." It was so cute!! Indoor heaven for kiddos. Bounce houses, huge slides, lots of rides, an ice rink... I couldn't believe all of the things they had fit indoors! Noah had a blast and did not want to leave. I'm glad we went tonight and not on a Saturday; there were no lines for the rides, etc, and not too busy. We had a great time.
Grant is not hiding from the camera in the above picture... he is wiping the sweat off his brow from doing the bounce house obstacle course over and over again with Noah. Haha. I was cracking up. He got a good workout in.
If you've ever been to Great America in California, this ride (above) was like a miniature Drop Zone. It was so cute. Noah barely passed the height requirement for it, and I thought he would chicken out, but he did great! That's my boy - loves those rides!
Still no update on the baby front... he is head down, but hasn't dropped, so still very high and my ribs go numb every night and I wake up with a terrible tingling sensation in my ribs. It's the weirdest feeling. And painful! One more week. One more week. One more week.

Last night we went downtown, walked around Michigan Ave. and checked out the lights. It was so beautiful, but very, very cold!!
Love these two little buddies. Noah is most definitley a daddy's boy!

Had another doc appointment yesterday....not dilated at all, so I'm pretty sure the 28th will be the big day. I am trying to keep busy to make it go by quickly. My ribs still kill, as he still hasn't dropped yet. Not sure why my babies have both liked to sit so high. I am ready to have my uterus back to myself. :)

Somebody loves Christmas music
I know this blog is a little ridiculous with all of the pictures and posts about Noah, etc., but these are too cute not to post. :) I'm amazed at how fast he picks up the lyrics to songs.
Noah has come a long way when it comes to snakes. He used to be terrified of Mr. Singer's stuffed animal snake... like really terrified. Last week at playgroup we went to the free day at the Nature Museum, and I was shocked when Noah wanted to pet this snake, and wouldn't stop.
These little guys are so cute. Love these little buddies.

Last weekend we made some Christmas sugar cookies. Noah was loving using the cookie cutters and decorating his cookie with frosting and sprinkles. Unfortunatley he is a little OCD and hates getting his hands dirty, so he was not happy with the mess. Grant quickly got him over it and wiped frosting all over his hands and face. Noah didn't know what to do with himself. He was so confused Grant would do that to him.

I had a dr. appointment yesterday and they did one last ultrasound. The baby is measuring big and I have double the normal amount of amniotic fluid. Again, my doctor said, "boy, you must be super uncomfortable." Um, yes! And I thought for sure it was the baby's head that has been killing my ribs for the past month.....our ultrasound showed us it is his bum that is giving me all of this rib pain! Good thing the countdown is on..... three more weeks!!! We can hardly wait!

Thanksgiving vacation
A couple visits to Chuck E. Cheese, a couple visits to the aquarium, lots of shopping, lots of turkey eating, lots of snow and cold weather, lots of family time, and a freezing trip to Temple Square to see the beautiful Christmas lights. We had a great trip to Utah. Now we are ready for this baby to come!

Happy Holidays!
