Pink, confirmed

Today as Grant and I were walking into the office for my ultrasound, Grant said, "man, what if they really were wrong and it is a boy?  you will definitely have a melt down."  He got me worried.  I mean, it would be fine in the long run, but now I've had girly things and pink on the brain.

Good thing, girl was confirmed right away.  I'm still in shock.  Still in shock this is even happening.  We are so excited though!

So I've loved the name Stella for the longest time.  When I was pregnant with Davis, before we found out it was a boy, I kept telling Grant we'd name the baby Stella if it were a girl.  Of course, I wasn't surprised though when it was a boy.  So anyway, since then some of our good friends have had a baby named Stella, the dog on Modern Family is named Stella, and the name is becoming trendy, I'm sure.  Anyway, I still love this name, and that is my vote.  Grant is voting for Reagan, but I keep telling him that's just not going to happen.  Reagan Goodson?  Doesn't sound good together.  Plus, the fact that he went out with a Reagan doesn't work in my book.  So anyway, that's what we've got going so far on names, but I'd love any other name suggestions.  :)

I think I finally have a buyer for my car.  She is planning on getting it when we're back from Hawaii.  It's been crazy the responses I've been getting from people around here.  Some guy has texted me 3 times now asking if I'd trade him my murano for his mustang convertible.  I guess the idiot didn't read my ad when it said "great condition, I just need a bigger vehicle for my growing family."  So that will be nice to have that off my shoulders.  Now if Grant can just find a job before the end of April, we'll be set to go!  He is officially done with his current job then, so we're hoping something happens quick.  Wish us luck!

only halfway?!

How is it that I'm only halfway through this pregnancy?!  July sounds so far away.  It is so far away!  I'm huge.  I know I think I've thought that with each pregnancy, but this one definitely takes the cake.  Let's just compare bellies at 20 weeks with Davis and now 20 weeks with baby numero 3.  (can't pull up my old pics from when I was preggo with Noah, but the belly was barely popping at this point when I was pregnant with him....lucky number one.)

I told Grant earlier, "I'm going to need you to take a picture of me to compare bellies at this stage and last time around."  He replied, "you sure you want to do that?"  Um, rude!

20 weeks with Davis
(I had to put on the same shirt for the effect.)  :)
20 weeks with baby #3

Funny thing is too, you can definitely tell which one was taken during the beloved summer months.

So anyway, there it is.  The ginormous belly.  I don't even think this picture quite does it full justice in showing how big I really am.  Oh well.
I go in on Tuesday for my actual 20 week ultrasound when they're really supposed to tell me the gender.  I still have this thought in the back of my mind that the ultrasound tech is going to tell me she made a mistake on the last scan and that we're actually having a boy.  So we'll see!

Also, the countdown to Hawaii begins!  I know it sounds snotty, but I am really dreading this trip.  We have two flights to make it to Kauai.  The first leg from Chicago to Honolulu is 9 hours straight.  With two busy little boys, and two of the loudest you've ever heard, this might just be a nightmare.  All I can hope for is when we get there, it's not a disaster trip like it was when we took Noah to Maui when he was 10 months.  I promised myself after that trip I would never go back to Hawaii.  Fingers crossed for some easy flights, good weather when we finally make it there, and two happy boys that have a great trip with mom and dad!  At least it will be warmer than it is here in Chicago!  Flip flops...here I come!  :)

yum

Chick fil A is awesome.  They opened a nice big one downtown recently and we've been big fans.  I'm a big fan of their diet lemonade.  And boy, are their cookies and cream shakes delicious too.  They are high class fast food.  We've had lots of lunch dates here with friends, but the other night we went for dinner for their kids night.  Free kids meals and free crafts.  Noah made me that Valentine.  :)

Davis was amused at the big cow, until he got up close.  Then he freaked out like it was Santa Claus or something.
