We had a fun time last Saturday at the beach.  I look forward to going to the beach just about every Saturday.  We try to go any weekend when it's not raining, etc.  I think I'm going to break down and buy a surf board and get over my fear of sharks.  Can you believe they sell surf boards at Costco here?

Davis borrowed a friend's scooter at the park the other day, so we went out and bought one for him (since Noah's was stolen in Chicago...lame!)... and he loves it!  He's a lot better at it than I'd thought he'd be.  He just needs some work on turning.
And here is Mr. Sensitive himself... he finally cried and screamed so much wanting to be held while I was cooking dinner the other day that I just put him in the ergo so I could cook in peace.  Amazingly enough, it didn't even hurt my back.  Photo courtesy of Noah.  :)

Found this picture on my phone that Noah took... a day in the life.  I love that Davis is super cuddly.  Sometimes he won't give up though until you pick him up and snuggle with him, or plants himself right on your lap.
 Baby girl is 6 months!
I will say... the one good thing about Florida...amazing winter!!
At Davis' 2 yr. checkup, he was 30 lbs, 75% for weight, and 97% for height.  He is such a sweet boy, but is definitely a two year old now.  ;)  He and Noah are best buds.  They play so well one minute, fight the next, but are each other's number 1 fans.  When Davis got his finger prick at the doc office (luckily he didn't need shots, he's already been traumatized enough recently), Noah said, "Good job, Davis!  You didn't even cry!"
At Claire's 6 month appointment, she was 21 lbs, still off the charts for weight, and 97% for height.  I still believe that chubby babies are the happiest!  The biggest smiles come from watching her brothers!  I think Noah is the best at getting a good smile out of her.

Birthday

We celebrated the birthday babies the night before heading back to Florida.  Davis does not like cake, and Isla did not like the candles.  Good times.

Just a little wrestling match on our layover in Atlanta.  Grant and I were trying not to laugh as they kept bumping into people, but hey, they were keeping themselves entertained, so whatev.  We just kept saying, "whose kids are those?!"  ;)

On the night of Davis' birthday, he was playing in his room by the window and slipped and hit his eyebrow on the ledge under the window.  It's a marble slab. so it cut it open pretty bad.  So he and I spent the evening in urgent care.  (Last year he had the flu on his bday...poor guy!)  I asked for a sedative for him, but they told me (after already waiting an hour), that they didn't have anything, but I could take him to the hospital if I wanted to.  Ugh...seriously?!  So 3 men had to hold him down while he was swaddled in a sheet with his arms down while the doc stitched him up.  It was so sad!    Right as the doc was about to finish, he finally screamed himself to sleep.  The guys were seriously sweating when they were done, and kept saying how strong he is.  Poor guy.  Hopefully next year he'll have a better birthday!  It's already bad enough that his birthday is right after Christmas!

Claire's blessing

While we were in Utah, we were able to bless Claire.  It was so nice having most of our families there...just missing two of Grant's brothers.  Grant gave this sweet girl a beautiful blessing.  We are so grateful to have been blessed with this sweet baby girl!

We truly have three miracle babies!  The days are crazy busy, and I definitely have my hands full, but we are greatly blessed.

Utah Christmas - Part 3

 More gifts!  More Christmas fun.

I think her eyes are getting bigger every day!

Noah loved Scheels.  The place is huge!

I've been so sad about not having Trader Joe's anymore since being in Florida.  We had to stock up on some necessities at the newly opened one in Utah while we were there.  You better believe we brought back some cornbread!  Unfortunately/luckily they were already sold out of the peppermint Joe Joe's.  Maybe I would have gained 5 more pounds over the holiday if they had had them.  ;)

Davis kept saying, "Mo dat!"  (more that!)  The little dare devil loved sledding!

We had such a fun trip and a wonderful Christmas!  It was sad leaving our families!!  Although, I will say that it was so great having a white Christmas, but it sure is nice not having to deal with the dreary winter months and be back in this great weather.  I now know why there are so many elderly people and snowbirds here!  It sure is terrible here in the summer, but winter here is pretty nice!
