Utah quickie

A couple weeks ago we were able to fly to Utah for a long weekend to attend Grant's grandmother's funeral.  It was a quick trip, but I'm glad we were able to go.  I have to get copies of his family pics, because we took some great group shots.  It was a beautiful weekend celebrating her great life.

Anyway, the flight out there was disastrous though, which comes as no surprise... we have the worst luck ever with our kids on flights.  Davis managed to have a poo explosion all over his pants, only one hour into the five hour flight.  We always pack extra clothes, but of course this time we didn't, so we ended up throwing his pants away and he traipsed around the airport in his diaper until we got to baggage claim.  Glad I can laugh about it now.  Claire was grumpy (now I know why... FOUR upper teeth managed to poke through her gums right after the trip).

 My dad must be the toddler whisperer or something, because this never happens!!  He watched the kiddos while Grant and I attended the funeral.  Thank heavens, because there's no way they would've been able to sit quiet during the funeral.  We can't even make it through sacrament meeting these days without major volume from our pew.

 Another reason I really wanted to go out to Utah for the short weekend was because my grandma and aunt happen to be in town that weekend as well, and neither had met Claire yet!  Aunt Sheri hadn't even met Davis, either!  Dang Florida!  Anyway, It was fun visiting with my mom's mom and sister, and letting them experience the chaos that is my children.  :)

 

 And, if any of you know my grandma and aunt Sheri, they LOVE pictures.  My little family...well, not so much.  This is the best we could get.  Grant was totally over it.

Grant was majorly having second guesses on our flight there why the whole family decided to go, but in the end, we were all glad we went!
