A couple weekends ago we were on our way home from a visit to Miami, and we decided to try a Cuban restaurant that was recommended to us by a Cuban couple in our ward. OMGosh! The food was so good! The meats that we had were delicious! We never go out to eat anymore with the whole family, because it is complete chaos, but we will definitely be back! The place was perfect for our crew since it was nice and loud, so Davis could fit right in, and there was a guy playing the bongos to entertain the kids.
Ever since Claire's top teeth started breaking through, she has been obsessed with her tongue! Most smiles from her are with her tongue sticking out. I think she is getting somewhat close to being able to crawl, except for the fact that she has to start on her tummy. She still does not like being on her tummy! I was making lunch today and asked Noah if Claire was okay, and what she was doing. "She's doing push-ups, mom." Ha! Such a cute chubba, she is!
These boys are hilarious. After moving to FL, and moving them into bunk beds, we had a hard time getting them to bed (mainly Davis since he was no longer in a crib). We've always turned the locks to avoid them from coming out every 2 seconds... "I'm thristy. I have to go potty. I want another story. I don't want to go to bed...." it can go on and on. But we found a way to keep them in there without caring about the lock or wanting to come out. After stories, drinks, etc, with us, we tell them we're going out (mostly Grant, since he usually puts them to bed :) ), and they get to stay up and read books or whatever until they are ready for bed. Eventually Noah wants to go to bed and they turn off the lights and crawl into the top bunk together. They kill me. How sweet/cute is that?! Some nights we check in on them before going to bed and they are practically spooning. Cuties.
I hope they stay best buds forever. :)
Davis... he is so funny. This was after he had taken a short nap in the car. He woke up and Noah was trying to be funny by screaming as loud as he could. Davis found it hilarious. Me, not so much.
Last week we had a couple of hot days. It was nice, but not hot like it's going to get in a couple months, which I am not looking forward to. Anyway, we hit up the park a few days so the boys could wear themselves out. I was turned around for one minute to feed Claire, and the next thing I know, Davis has his scooter up on the bridge, on his way over to the slide. This kid is fearless! He has a new injury everyday.
Noah...my little smarty pants 4.5 year old. I was making dinner the other night and he came into the kitchen and said, "Mom, look! This paper looks like Delaware!" What the wha?!? I about died. Seriously, who is this kid? I don't think I had even heard the word Delaware when I was 4. He kills me; he is so funny, and really is so smart it's crazy! I am amazed when he sits down and can read me a book.
Love these kids!
