what the?!?

So, I got a phone call from one of the nurses from my infertility doctor's office today... she tells me she has bad news. I was panicing... I thought she was going to tell me all of our frozen embryos didn't make it, or they lost them, or they put them in another woman's uterus, or something crazy like that. Welllll..... turns out my infertility doctor died over the weekend. What the?!? Okay, so now what?

Apparently they were calling all patients who are in the midst of going through the whole process, or who are gearing up for it... I guess he has two "backup" doctors that help out every once in a while who have also been doing ivf for a long time themselves, who will be seeing patients in his office until further notice. Anyway, so I guess we'll see what's going to happen. Ummm... crazy.

Was he old or sick or was it just a freak accident? I hope the other doctors are super helpful! Good luck.

The nurse told me today he was almost 75 (he was Japanese [they age well] so I thought he looked a lot younger). His wife found him dead; they are thinking it was a stroke. Crazy! And sad....

What??? Wow. Well, I guess you just meet the new doctors and all can go how it would have. I still (always!) am hoping for another Noah for you two.

Holy crap! That is so weird! I'm sure you'll find a great back-up and it will all work out fine. But, again, weird!
