Chicago, I love you. I really love you and all that you have to offer in this great city. So much to do, so many great places to eat, the beach, great shopping, beautiful skyline, and great people.
But you are just way too cold for me!!! I cannot even begin to fathom how the homeless survive in this freezing Antarctica-like city.
(this pic is from the blizzard last winter....hoping we don't get another one like it!)
Grant continues to look for jobs out west. This morning as I was running (literally sprinting) Noah into preschool, he was yelling to me as we booked it into the warm classroom, "we need to go somewhere warm like California or Arizona!!" Funny thing is, he's never been to Arizona. I think we're all dreaming of warmer weather around here. Luckily he's got preschool to go to, because other than that we've pretty much been cooped up trying to avoid the cold at all costs.
I've told Grant on many occasions that if Chicago had weather like Southern California, I would stay here in a heart beat. I really do love this place; but I definitely have a love-hate relationship with this city!

I know it's nothing like Chicago but I have similar feelings with Utah. Arizona or California would be heavenly right now!! Hang in there!
Just come back to Cali! You know you want to! You don't need "the windy city" life.
I have to admit I LOVE it here in Arizona. I have no desire to go back to Utah.
