I first read about this "incident" from a friend's blog a couple of weeks ago. I happen to be watching the Today show this morning at the gym and saw that this family was going to be on sharing their story. This is such a miraculous story, that I wanted to share for those of you who hadn't heard about this amazing miracle. I'm sure most Utah peeps have heard about it on the news or what not, but here it is again.
*Be warned, it is a tear jerker. I bawled my eyes out when I first read it, then shed some more tears as I re-listened to their story on the Today show this morning. Talk about putting life into perspective!

After you read the story, you'll know what I'm talking about here, but... I noticed that there were a couple of comments on her blog post from today, where people basically said she was a bad mom. What?! Really?! Come on... we've all been there and have all been distracted at times.

Can you imagine what that would be like? I sobbed and sobbed. I'm glad they're getting a miracle.
you need to stop making me read things that make me cry haha
I saw them on the Today Show but hadn't read her blog. Remarkable story and I'm so glad she was willing to share it so we all can learn. Mothers can't be perfect, we make mistakes. That doesn't make us bad mothers, just human. She sounds like a loving, attentive mother who got distracted and made a mistake with dramatic consequences. Makes me hug my girls tighter, thank Heavenly Father for them and their wonderful health and vow to always give them the attention they need and deserve.
