shots

$3,000. That is the amount this loot of shots and meds just cost us. Don't worry, that amount does NOT include the small fortune for the actual IVF procedure. That's a whole other story. If you're wondering what are in those plastic bags...yeah...those are all of the needles that I get to inject myself with. I even get a sharps container! ha.

So, we found an infertilty doctor in Milwaukee (about 80 miles from Chicago) and we're gearing up for IVF and cannot believe we have to go through this all over again! Grant has been preparing himself as well (wink, wink). He's also had to get a shot twice a week for the last month or so, right in the bum! Now he has somewhat of an idea of what I get to go through.

Now if only you could read all of the side effects on the sides of all of the boxes. Not fun.

Getting prego should not have be this crazy.... or expensive! geez. It's all worth it though, right?.......Right?!?! ;)

Christmas pics to eventually come...

Well, I guess there IS some justice in the world now that Grant has been able to share in the pain just a bit. ;) Seriously, good luck!

Hey Briauna!! I just did a quick catch up on your blog:-) I wish we could have seen you over the holidays when you were here! I can't believe how big Noah has gotten in such a short amount of time. It's crazy! He's so cute.
Anyway- So I looked at your picture of all of the medication and wondered what in the world that was all for and when I saw it was for IVF- I panicked. I've been meeting with a fertility doctor for about 6 months now and have finally decided to take the plunge. I have a meeting with a doctor out of Los Angeles at the end of this month to determine what procedure we're going to do- IVF or ICSI. Hopefully we'll both be pregnant this year. Getting pregnant should not cost this much money- seriously!!!
I hope Chicago is treating you well!
